Skinny but want to remove layer of fat from midsection

Your abs are soooo hot. I am a pretty skinny guy, but I have a little chub around the tummy area. I cannot afford to losse weight anywhere else but I do want to get rid of the layer of fat around my midsection. What should I do?

Hello Dennis! Thank you so much for stopping by my site and for asking that fitness question. Your problem is something that a lot of people experience, and can be solved easily with a little commitment and dedication to working out properly.

Men in general tend to experience fat deposits around the stomach because the body is programmed to store excess fat there if it is not burned away from exercise and daily activities. In this case, it means that you're eating more than what your body burns per day, which is why you notice a little bit of buildup in your midsection.

Your first focus would be on your diet. Are you eating too much sweet food that could be causing more fat storage in your body? Unused sugars are automatically converted to fat for storage in the future. Secondly, if you don't have an active lifestyle everyday - as in you don't move around much - you might need to revise your meals, because they're larger than what your body is capable of burning in a 24 hour timeframe.

Your second and final course of action is exercise to remove the little fat buildup, and to also ensure that you're helping your body with fat burning on those days when you feel like eating a little bit more. You need to focus on this magical form of training called, interval training.

Interval training basically means that you could run intervals. So you will start out with a warm up. Then begin jogging at a certain level of intensity for 3 minutes, then sprinting for 20 seconds. Then jog at a lower intensity for another 3 minutes and going for another 20 second sprint and repeating this cycle 8 times.

You could also do intervals with muscle building exercises. The key is to make sure to do short sets of about 15-20 repetitions and NO rest between exercises. Trust me, this is going to get you panting and wheezing and burning a lot of fat. You will feel extremely exhausted despite doing simple exercises.
