I created this section on healthy smoothie recipes because smoothies are growing to be extremely popular nowadays. They're also incredibly easy to make: pop the ingredients into a blender and blend for several minutes, and you've got a wonderful shake.
The thing I love most about preparing such smoothies is the flexibility of the ingredients you put in. If you want something for muscles, you might consider adding a tablespoonful of protein powder (though I'm not a big fan of that).
There is a whole variety of things you can add, to customize your shake, to make it suit your fitness and health needs.
However, I think the most important reason why smoothies and shakes are becoming so popular is because of how easy it is to prepare and bring along on a busy day at work! College students can bring a flask of smoothie prepared at home.
