Forearm Stretch - You CAN Stretch Forearm Muscles

Despite what many think and what they might tell you, there is not just one forearm stretch that you can do, but a whole tonne of them. I will show you a few that I feel is best.

Do your body a favour by taking some time to try the exercises that I will share with you. It is not time-consuming, and it helps ward off various injuries that I'm sure you won't want to suffer from.

Seriously, who wants to feel pain just from carrying a book? It is unpleasant, so be sure not to take such flexibility exercises lightly.

Let's Begin!

The various exercises that I will teach you:

  • Finger pull stretch

  • Kneeling stretch

  • Wrist circles

Finger Pull Stretch

This is the first flexibility exercise that I will share with you. It is possibly the most common one, and I admit, it gets boring as the intensity of the stretch is not that great.

finger pull forearm stretch

  • Raise your right hand such that it is at your shoulder level. Straighten it.

finger pull forearm stretch step two

  • Using your left hand, pull your right fingers to the back gently until you feel a stretch.

  • Hold the stretch for 10 seconds.

  • Repeat the stretch, now raising your left hand.

Kneeling Stretch

kneeling forearm stretch

  • Kneel down and place your hands on the floor, such that your fingers are pointing at your knees.

kneeling forearm stretch step 2

  • Straighten your arms, and edge your knees further away from your fingers until you feel the tension in your forearm.

  • Hold the stretch for 10 seconds.

Wrist Circles

This is possibly the easiest stretch, actually.

  • Stand with your feet shoulder width apart. Raise both your arms such that your body forms a T-shape.

  • Slowly draw circles with your hands.

  • Continue drawing circles with your hands for 20 seconds.

Final Words From Azri

You now have no excuses to not attempt at least one stretch before and after your workouts. I'm sure you agree that they are easy to do - you do not need equipment, and a mat is optional (in the case of kneeling forearm stretch).

So what are you waiting for? Ward off unnecessary aches and injuries by stretching!
