Diamond push ups is a variation of the normal push ups. As I have mentioned before, this is a great workout that tones a lot of your upper body muscles.
The word "diamond" actually indicates the level of difficulty of this workout. So I have to be frank - it is tough, but there are ways to make it easier so that you get a feel of this exercise and benefit from it too!
Never fear. Azri is here.

If you are really struggling, just do the repetitions while on your knees. It will be easier for you. As you progress and become more confident, you can try doing more and more repetitions on your toes.

Your body should be in straight line as always. Do not bend your hips, or else you will look as though you are kowtowing!
Once you are very confident of yourself, try this 30 second test. Knowing how many diamond push ups you can do in half a minute is a pretty good indicator of your upper body strength.
I have to remind you, please try this only if you have been exercising often and if you are very confident that you will not injure yourself.
As with most arm workouts, try holding the position for 2 to 3 seconds. If you can do it easily, try saying out the timing out loud!
You might get the impression that it's child's play. But once you try it for yourself, you'll understand why I call it a challenge! :D
It will be an incredible feeling, I can promise you that!
As hard as this exercise might be, I think you should not turn a blind eye to it. Hard work, effort and determination will pay off. So give it a go, improve your strength and muscular endurance and you will thank me one day.
You can be sure I'm always here cheering you on!

I remember the one major problem I had when I was helping my friend with her weight issue (for the full story, watch the video at the start of this page), and that was her lack of time to fit in much workout routines.
